Homeschool Art Education

Noreen loves helping homeschoolers explore art in a meaningful, skill-building way. While she naturally incorporates her appreciation for nature into her teaching, her classes emphasize mastering art techniques, learning about the great artists of history, and completing projects that reinforce both knowledge and creativity. She works with students of all ages, from beginners to high schoolers seeking deeper study.

Noreen arrives fully stocked and ready for every class she teaches - acrylic and oil paints, brushes, pastels, colored pencils, markers, glue, paper towels, scissors, tape, and so much more. If the project needs it, she brings it.

What is a "Homeschool Educator?"

A Homeschool Educator is a trained teacher or skilled professional who provides subject-specific instruction to homeschool families or groups on a scheduled basis. They bring expertise, structure, and curriculum support that complements a family’s learning goals -enhancing the home education experience with qualified, specialized teaching.

Noreen Powell is a dedicated Homeschool Educator and professional artist who brings years of teaching experience, deep knowledge of art history, and a passion for helping students develop true artistic skills.

She partners with homeschool families and groups to provide structured, academically focused art instruction that complements each child’s learning journey.

While she always finds ways to incorporate her love for nature into her lessons, in this setting her focus is on teaching foundational and advanced art techniques, guiding students through meaningful projects, and studying the classics of art history - from the great masters of past centuries to the artists who shaped the visual world we know today.

Noreen teaches all ages, from early learners to high school students, and she thrives on challenging students creatively while nurturing confidence.

She works with individual families as well as homeschool co-ops, consortiums, and learning groups, offering flexible scheduling and programs tailored to each community’s needs.
